Who builds it
Kabir Mangat builds and runs The Voice Agent from the Greater Toronto Area. It’s a small, founder-run business: email reaches him directly, and he sets up each plumbing company himself.
Why plumbers
A plumber’s phone rings while their hands are under a sink. A burst pipe or a backed-up drain won’t wait for a callback, so a caller who reaches voicemail usually calls the next plumber instead. Hiring someone to sit by the phone all day, every day, doesn’t pay for most shops.
That gap is narrow and specific, which is why The Voice Agent does one job for one trade and doesn’t try to be everything.
How it works
- You keep your number. Calls you don’t pick up forward to your AI receptionist, so nothing gets ported.
- It answers 24/7, asks what’s wrong, where, and how urgent it is, and offers a time from the slots you set.
- Every call is logged in a portal you can open on your phone, with the caller’s details, a recording and a transcript.

Why the demo is a fictional company
The demo line, (647) 492-9272, answers as Harbourline Plumbing & Drain. That company is fictional. We don’t have a paying plumber we can name yet, and we won’t borrow a real company’s name or invent one and pretend it’s a customer. A made-up shop lets you hear exactly what your callers would hear: the greeting, the questions, the booking. Play a customer with a leak and judge it for yourself.
Where we are today
We’re onboarding our first Ontario plumbing companies, starting in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Hamilton and Ottawa. That’s why you won’t find reviews or case studies here yet. When a plumber agrees to share their results, they’ll appear on this page with their name on them.
