Terms of Service
1. The service
The Voice Agent (“we”, “us”) provides an AI phone receptionist for plumbing companies (“you”). It answers calls forwarded from your business number, collects the caller’s details, offers appointment times from the availability you give us, and logs each call, with a recording and a transcript, in an online portal.
An AI system answers your calls. It can misunderstand a caller or get a detail wrong. Check bookings and call details in your portal and don’t rely on it as your only channel for emergencies that put people or property at risk.
2. Free trial
New accounts get a 7-day free trial. You won’t be charged during the trial. If we miss more than 3 calls in your 7-day trial, your next 7 days are free. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged.
3. Price and billing
The service costs $749/month CAD per month, billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe, our payment processor. The setup fee is waived. Prices exclude applicable taxes, which are added at checkout.
If the price ever changes, we’ll email you at least 30 days before your next bill at the new price.
4. Cancellation
There’s no contract. Cancel anytime by emailing hello@thevoiceagent.ca. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month; the service keeps running until then and you won’t be charged again.
We don’t refund partial months. After cancellation you can ask for an export of your call log, and we delete your call data within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
5. Call recording
Calls answered by the service are recorded and transcribed so you can review them. You’re responsible for telling callers that calls may be recorded, for example in your greeting, and for meeting the privacy and recording laws that apply to your business. We can add a recording notice to your receptionist’s greeting on request.
6. Acceptable use
In short, use the service for your own plumbing business, lawfully. You agree not to:
- use it for telemarketing, robocalls, spam or any calls the person didn’t ask for;
- use it to deceive callers, impersonate another business, or collect information for any purpose other than serving them;
- forward numbers you don’t own or aren’t allowed to forward;
- try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the limits of the service.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we’ll tell you why.
7. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy. Callers’ details belong to you; we process them only to run the service for you.
8. Liability
We work to keep the service running and accurate, but we don’t guarantee it will answer every call or never make a mistake. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario.
10. Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email you before the change takes effect. Questions: hello@thevoiceagent.ca.
